The Reveal

And now, for the moment you have all been waiting for – The Reveal. But first, a little before to see how far we have come.

Before : Her room was such a blank canvas

I got inspired by a pottery barn image of her crib and I delved into a world of framed wallpaper research. I have documented extensively my process in my previous post if you’re curious to see how I executed this.

My heart is filled with joy watching my baby crawling about in her room and having the time of her life. I can’t wait for her grow in this space!

I initially wanted a large mirror over her dresser, but then I also wanted to make the space fun. I incorporated some fun décor pieces in her room and I’m glad I decided to create the little feature with the mirror and shelves.

Before – So much potential

This is the first thing you see when you open her door and sometimes I walk past and smile.

I searched high and low for the perfect bedding to compliment this space. I wanted something floral but subtle to pull together all the elements in the room.

I was initially going to put her glider in the spot beside the window, but I changed my mind when I had all the furniture in place. It looked better and more functional beside her bed. I stumbled on this letter board and I especially loved the fact that I could change the wordings to whatever I want, whenever I want (limited to how many letters are available of course, but you get my drift :).

These words truly describes my darling Ava.

And finally, my favorite corner in this room! I love the moment created here, especially since it was a last minute decision. As the room started coming together, I realized that space had such a huge potential for a cozy nook. I documented how I DIY’ed this tent in my previous post. I really let my creative juices flow on this one and with each obstacle I faced, I found a way around it. This beauty exists after several iterations and boy am I glad I didn’t give up!

Check out the one room challenge page to see what the other participants are up to. There are so many exciting projects being worked on and I can’t wait to see everyone’s reveal!

Thank you for spending this time with my musings. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I’ll see you in my next post!
